Despicable Liar

Today, Dink came home from work and reported that a new person who has been working at the restaurant had a sly plan. Her sly plan was to intentionally not do her job and to eventually get fired.

She wanted to get fired so that she could sue the white restaurant managers for being racist. Unfortunately, she tried to convince a loyal employee to join her in her ingenious and original little ploy and that loyal employee reported the plan to the managers. The managers promptly called the owner who promptly called his lawyer.

What a pathetic little person she is. As we once wrote, liars are losers.

Like us, you probably get phone calls from Purple Heart asking if you have anything to donate.

Recently, we received one of these calls and since we definitely had some bags for them, we scheduled a pick-up.

We have a relatively long driveway, as do our neighbors, and in between our driveways is a grass median with a fence dividing the grass at some point. On the appointed day, my mom wasn’t home but I was.

I happened to walk by the window and saw a large truck backing up our driveway. Unfortunately, they weren’t really completely in the driveway… they were in the grass, and they were also headed straight for the fence. Soon, they hit the fence, and splinters flew. They then went forward and continued backing up, this time avoiding the fence. They picked up our donation and left without saying anything about the fence.

What we want to make sure everyone knows, is that it is not Purple Heart doing the actual calling for donations, but the trucking company who works for them. They are called Green Drop.

First a Green Drop representative said that the truck driver probably didn’t know he had hit the fence – not true; otherwise the entire fence would have been destroyed. Then Green Drop’s truck driver lied and said he did not hit the fence, but he did not know that there was a eye witness. Green Drop, as well as their insurance company, have been completely uncooperative and even though the incident happened in mid-November, no action has been taken yet even though the repair on his fence is relatively inexpensive.

We have sent in photos, an estimate from the fence repair company, and have tried to talk to the insurance person “handling” the claim every week. We feel very responsible since our neighbor did not ask Purple Heart to come to their place, but they got their fence broken because we did. Luckily, we are good friends with our neighbors.

Anyway, you may want to consider dropping off your donations instead of having Green Drop pick up depending on your personal property situation. With so many dishonest people around nowadays, best take matters into your own hands.

January Lies

Here are a couple of not so humorous lies told recently:

-Homeland Security Secretary, Mr. Johnson, said that the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.”

It should be obvious to all that entering a country illegally should not earn you anything except deportation.

– “As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life. I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol.”

Unfortunately, that quote is from the president, the President of the United States which is pretty embarrassing, us being Americans. One only needs to talk to a person who smokes pot regularly to know that it can alter people’s brains and personalities. Essentially, this person is telling young people that it’s fine to smoke weed. It’s “not very different” than a cigarette or more dangerous than drinking a beer. Actually, weed is pretty different from cigarettes. To begin with, cigarettes don’t make you high. One thing that most people recognize with those who do drugs is that they tend to be liars.

– The American system of checks and balances continues to work well and keeps the executive, legislative, and judicial branches in balance.

Did you know that when Napoleon came into power after the French Revolution that the French people simply replaced their king with a dictator? Oh yes, everyone could vote, but their votes didn’t matter at all. Oh yes, everyone was to be treated equally, but some people were more “equal” than others. Oh yes, there was a new constitution, and guess what? The new constitution gave Napoleon the power to make any laws he wanted. He could declare wars and make France’s policies all by himself. “How could that be?” you may ask. Well, Napoleon wrote the new constitution 🙂

Every month brings many, many lies to us. We decided just recently to chronicle some of those lies but since we are so late for January, we are a little short of material this time. But just read current events and politicians’ words these days, and you will notice so many lies, that you will have to find something healthy to do in order to recover.

We’ve noticed that whenever there is something that doesn’t make sense or whenever there are a lot of inconsistencies, that liars are at work. Liars don’t make sense, and in order to avoid admitting their lie, they have to lie again, and as a result they are very inconsistent.

Where there is truth, everything is in order. One can logically follow from one point to the next, because honest people don’t lie. As a result, everything makes sense and there is no inconsistency.

Where there are lies, the opposite is true.

We were thinking about what the person in the White House has been doing with closing national parks during his theater “shut down”. We were going to go over to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall to take some photos of the mean and scary looking guards who are surely there. Then we thought – if they can guard the park to keep criminal Americans and others out, surely they can keep the park open and let those same Americans and others in. Either way, they are there and they are getting paid.

Then we remembered. Where there is lying, there are inconsistencies. Lying is one of the most despicable crimes a person can commit. We actually despise unashamed, blatant liars and hope to never succumb to the temptation to become one. Liars are losers.
